Oracle Date, Time Zone & Currency Settings

This setting controls how date, time, and currency are displayed in Oracle.

Incorrect configuration may cause:

  • Currency appearing incorrectly (e.g. USD instead of MYR)
  • Different values shown between screen and report
  • Inconsistent transaction details
  • Time-related discrepancies

Steps to Update Settings

1. Click on your Profile icon (top right) and select Set Preferences.

2. Update Regional Settings

Under General Preferences → Regional, ensure the following:

  • Territory: Malaysia
  • Date Format: dd/MM/yyyy
  • Time Format: hh:mm a
  • Currency: Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
  • Time Zone: (UTC+08:00) Hong Kong - Hong Kong Time (HKT)

----

Important Reminder

  • This is a user-level setting — each user must update their own preferences
  • System may default to USD or non-Malaysia time zone if not configured
  • Always verify these settings before raising IT tickets related to:
    • Currency issues
    • Report discrepancies
    • Date/time mismatch
